KYOTO X OSAKA : 3

Osaka
29 Jul - 3 Aug 2013

Truth to be told, we weren't really excited to head back down to the city after the culturally-rich stay in Kyoto. But, since everything had already been paid for, I guess we just have to take it positively and enjoy our remaining time in Japan.

First stop the Osaka Kaiyukan & Ferris-Wheel.

A rather impressive aquarium, if you have spare time in Osaka, you can consider a trip there. But if fawning over the little blobs of jellyfish and creatures of the sea doesn't interest you, you may give it a miss and explore the rest of Osaka (tho there is this really amazing snow-ice stall near the Kaiyukan heheh.)

Really cute mother-and-son stall owners. ALL japanese stall operators are so incredibly friendly, I just wanna make friends with all of them.

The view from our tiny hotel room.

Osaka Castle
Word of warning:
Be prepared for the insanely long UPHILL journey to reach this castle. Well, castles aren't built to be reached that easily anyways.

The famous 'Running-Man' Billboard of Osaka.

Hanging out with some locals at a bar. While Kyoto is the land of early-sleepers and risers, Osaka has a bustling nightlife. Boy did we have fun that night :D

Day-trip to Kobe

BECAUSE KOBE BEEF (AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH~~~)
Seriously though, take the trip to Kobe and try their beef. Just take it.

LOOK AT THAT MARBLING.

And... back to the hotel.

Alright, Osaka had her own charm, but definitely a very different vibe from Kyoto. Nonetheless, I would head back to both cities anytime.
